I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
